Casa Modesta – Interior accessories for a rural tourism

As brief, creating furniture and accessories that pick up on the existing family heritage and local material culture for a rural tourism close to Olhão, Algarve.

The design resulted in a collection of home accessories and lightning in clay, cork and brass. A set of three small furniture pieces are completing the minimal layout of 8 hotel rooms, by offering various functions for the in- and outdoor spaces.

Each item is citing the grandfather’s passion for self-made artistic interventions and his collection of vernacular furniture. Some of the items got reproduced and can be purchased on site and through us.
